Learnings from Old Cucumber Plant

We plant the seed and do the watering everyday (do what you can control).
God will take care of the growing process (he will take care of what you cannot control).
There are potential fruits along the way but died (there are disappointments in life. When you thought it is good, it failed)
In His time, you will reap the fruit of your labour (when your focus is in Jesus, good things come running after you - Psalms 23)

John 15:5
"I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me, you can do nothing"

God make things Grow

I planted the seed, Apollos watered it, but God made it grow. 7 So neither he who plants nor he who waters is anything, but only God, who makes things grow.

All we did was plant the seed and water it...didn't realise that it grows so well that it started to bloom! I learned that in life, if we just partner with God, do our little part and not worry, God will take care of the rest. When God's hand is in it, it turns out beautiful!

Hope and A Future

Every day more and more bad news are being reported...more and more companies are cutting jobs to save costs...my company has started to axed employees...waves started in one dept and then the next and next month is my dept's turn...Colleagues advised each other to be emotionally prepared and to think about what we will do if we are the one...

Honestly, I do not know what is better for me...to be axed or to stay...I was disturbed...then I told daddy God...somehow, sometime later this verse came to my mind.

Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

So, whatever that comes, let it be. My God cares for me and knows what is best for me.

I am Troubled

I have been feeling pain in my right breast for some time now. It started on my left breast but later after claiming God's divine healing for some weeks, it disappeared. Recent weeks, I felt a different kind of pain in my right breast. Went to see a doctor and she advised that it should just be infection and gave me antibotics.

Yesterday, I went for the review. The pain is still there. She seems unsure and advised me to take another course of antibotics and this time 3 times a day instead of 2. She advised me to go for a scan 3 days later if the pain persists. She even anticipated scary possibilities that may happen....you can guess what she said...

I must admit that fear came into my heart. I remember Jesus took every stripe and pain so that I will not suffer any disease or sickness, so this can't be true as I should believe the truth. Went to church today and pastor preached about claiming health is mine. Still it is hard to just simply believe....

Health....politics at new job....spotted signs of termites inside my house yesterday added stress....felt difficult to focus....

Pray for me, friends....that all will be well...

His Favour is On Me

On 1 Sept, I rotated to another department to work. People there were not as friendly and I later found out that they have been discussing and questioning why I was chosen for the role when I do not have the relevant experience even before I started work there. No wonder the day I moved there, I sensed some unfriendliness and loneliness.

Day 1, as I sat at my new desk, looking at the daily devotion 1 Sept, I was encouraged that God promotes people not only by rank and file but also by giving a new job.

The same morning, I received a call that the LCD I ordered will arrive although it usually takes a week to receive, I was pleasantly surprised that mine is ready in 2 days! As I work in a big company, all bulky deliveries requires your own pick up at the mailroom. With God's favour, mailroom did an exception and send the LCD to my desk.

As I was trying to set up the LCD and had difficulty getting it done, somehow a friend just came by at that very moment to visit me at my new location. She ended up helping me.

I know Jesus loves me and know how I felt, although I cannot see or feel Him at that time, He sent "Angels" in the form of friends and colleagues to show me His love. How loving He is.... I am touched.

He is With Me

He is the Lion of Judah = Jesus

Going to Hong Kong

I knew weeks ago that some of my colleagues are going to HK for a big meeting. I always like to go HK to eat & shop. In fact, I go there once a year but not this year. I was so excited for them as though I was also going.

Somehow, I was not in the invited list. Some suggested I should speak to the big boss to justify why I think I should go.

I decided against it and instead spoke to God. I told God that He knows my desire but even if I am not to go for this trip, I am prepared to obey. Then, I rested in the Lord and refused to be bothered by it.

This afternoon while talking to big boss on other matters, he suddenly asked if I am going to HK. I told him I was not in the list and he asked if I WANT to go. I hesitated, thinking how I should justify my going. Someone who knew me and was in the room then, joked that I definitely want to go there to eat & shop. Big boss ignored him and asked me again if I WANT to go. I said I would like to and he immediately say OK!

This is just so amazing. Not involve in the meeting yet can still go!

If it is not God, I cannot think of anyone else. Such undeserved favour, unearned, unmerited.

All Glory to Jesus!

God created sea creatures

Went to a Salmon aquarium in Japan recently. To my surprised, just salmon only, there are so many different kinds. Then I remember the few verses in the bible where it mentioned about God creating sea creatures....

Gen 1: 20 "Then God said, “Let the waters abound with an abundance of living creatures...." So God created great sea creatures and every living thing that moves, with which the waters abounded, according to their kind"

I appreciated all the things I see especially when I take a break from the city and go on holiday. I am awed by the big big God whom we can call Abba Father.

Sad Story

Yesterday, I heard a pastor's daughter went home to the Lord.

Felt very sad....she is only about 3+ years old.

Doctors had been anticipating that she will not survive even when she was in her mother's womb. By faith, her mother carried her full term and gave birth to the little girl. Her condition had improved by the grace of God and had become better and better each day.

Was surprised to hear of her demise. Yet, had no better words of comfort to give at this time. I know there are no words that can describe how much the family will miss her. Although they know she will be with the Lord and one day will meet her again....but it must be difficult to part.

I know Jesus must have weep when he saw how family and friends are feeling right now. Just like He weeps when Laurazus died.....I felt speechless to give any words of comfort....

I am Back

Long time since I have last posted.

Have accepted a job since end-March and have been busy since. Recently took a holiday to Hokkaido Japan.

Saw God in many situations and places. Experienced His Love....so unconditional, so beautiful, so awesome, so gracious in His favour. Really underserved favour.

Will share short stories in the next post.

For now, enjoy the colours of Autumn on the mountain of Japan which God made, changes its colours in each of the 4 seasons, and ensures they are kept beautiful and healthy. Isn't He beautiful?

Injured Pigeon

This morning, I woke up to see a ball of brown "fur" at the door of my balcony. That what I thought initially.

Walking closer, I realised it was a pigeon awoken by me. When I shoo-ed at it, noticed its leg was limping. Shoo-ed at it again and it flew off.

Next minute, I realised there were splatter of some blood at the corner on the side wall then droplets trailing from there until the door of the balcony. I realised the poor bird must have been injured and hiding at my balcony.

Perhaps it was resting there (like a ball) near the balcony door when I saw it.

I wonder what was God trying to tell me. Thought that he may be reminding me of Jesus's sacrifice and I have everything Jesus's sacrifice to give me and not to worry about tomorrow.

Any insights from anyone?

Awakened in The Spirit

Attended church service yesterday where Pastor was preaching on a series on Righteousness of God in Christ.

One particular illustration which I find it very meaningful and applicable to me is shared below. Trust it will minister to you too.

3 leaders were requested to stand on stage to represent

SPIRIT SOUL BODY

SPIRIT
When one is saved (accepted Christ as his Lord and saviour), his Spirit is alive and touches the Soul.

SOUL
The Soul is our mind. Without seeking, hearing or reading the Word, he has no knowledge of his inheritance in Christ; do not understand how much Christ loves him. The flow of the Spirit stops there.

It is through renewing our mind with the Word, by hearing, reading, understanding the Word that he became aware and start to believe.

BODY
This connects him and touches the body - temple of the holy spirit. This quickens the body and together in the natural, the physical radiates the glory of Jesus.

Even the physical body will manifest youth renewed like the eagle's (Psalms 103:5).

He is now awaken in the spirit!

At this time, your relationship with God has also grown closer and begin to walk with Him eveyday. How awesome & wonderful.

Attended a ladies group meeting tonight. A time of worship; hearing the Word being preached; fellowshiping among sisters-in-Christ; some food; and getting into small groups to pray for one another and encouraging one another.

Pastor lovingly handed out a poem inspired of the Lord to encourage each one of us. Trust it will encourage you too.

Jesus loves U even while we were still sinners

For the first time in my life, I visited a nursing home and a hospital today as an ambassdor for Jesus Christ!

In the nursing home, I was surprised that some of the aged's faces actually transformed from a sad, unapproachable look, expressionless to a happy face when they heard the songs being sung. It doesn't matter if we missed a beat, they enjoyed it anyway. They clapped their hands, sing along, shook our hands and smiled. One blind man even shouted for more when we were about to end!

At the hospital, we were warned of many rules. Yet we discretely went around singing Chinese New Year songs and songs about Jesus' love for them. Patients' faces brightened up once they heard the music. A wheelchair bound patient requested his relative to bring him level to level of the building following us. He clapped along and smiled a lot.

Some visitors and nurses to the hospital encouraged us to come back as we made the patients very happy. We knew it is Jesus at work.

Most amazingly among all these. We saw God's miraclous hand over these people. He loves them so much and they were crying when we sang about Jesus' love for them. Some were ready to receive Christ. One sister-in-Christ, told a fellow Indian sister that she sensed an Indian patient ready to accept Christ and asked her to pray for her.

What she did was just asked if the patient knows Jesus and wants to receive Jesus into her heart. She said yes immediately. She was like just waiting for someone to "ask me, com'on ask me to accept". She prayed for her and oops....her son and daughter in law of another religion walked in. Lo and behold, the sick Indian mother-in-law told her daughter-in-law that when she gets out of hospital, she wants to wear a cross!

Hallelujah!! Glory to Jesus!

You know...we sang in Mandarin and Chinese dialects....yet an Indian who do not understand these was touched by the holy spirit!

We are His vessels, GO and reach out! You will be amazed that Jesus did everything, all you need to do is ask "Do you want Jesus?"

Seeing joyful countenance on faces of the sick and aged just by our little giving of time and allowing the love of Jesus to shine through is so so worth it. I came back feeling different.

One person can make a difference with the power of the holy spirit inside you!

He Knows...

Our Daddy God knows everything about us even our thoughts, words before we speak. He knows our habits and behaviour. He goes before us and is behind us, blessing us to the extend we cannot comprehend.

I sense so much love in the following verses. Be Blessed and basked in His love for you!

O LORD, You have searched me and known me.

You know my sitting down and my rising up; You understand my thought afar off.

You comprehend my path and my lying down, And are acquainted with all my ways.

Dead to Self, Alive in Christ

Reading the story of Lazarus death and how Jesus raised him from the dead in John 11, reminds me that we are all dead in our "selves". We are a new creation, alive in Christ. He is living inside of us.

John 11:25
Jesus said to her, "I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live. 26 And whoever lives and believes in Me shall never die. Do you believe this?"

Do you believe?

John 11:40
Jesus said to her, "Did I not say to you that if you would believe you would see the glory of God?"

Our heavenly Father hears our prayers even if you don't feel so...

v. 41...And Jesus lifted up His eyes and said, "Father, I thank You that You have heard Me. 42 And I know that You always hear Me, but because of the people who are standing by I said this, that they may believe that You sent Me."

You have been set free. Believe it and have confidence in Him and His word will set you free to receive your Miracle today!

v. 43 ...He cried with a loud voice, "Lazarus, come forth!" 44 And he who had died came out bound hand and foot with graveclothes, and his face was wrapped with a cloth. Jesus said to them, "Loose him, and let him go."

Already Victorious in Christ

Having recently recovered from discouragement and evil attacks in the mind, the Sunday service at NCC sets me free.

Sharing below my understanding of the sermon and hope it will minister to you too.

As we all know, we are victorious in Christ. The battle had been won and we rest in the finished work of Jesus Christ. We are kings, princes and royalty. Yet many of us are living like we are in defeat. The circumstances in our lives seem to manifest a negative picture.

The evil one is always looking for open doors in our lives to enter. Apparently, many of us, children of God are leaving our doors opened without even realising. There are many possible doors but 3 were explained.

1) Close the door of Discouragement
- Discouragement is a lack of courage. We are called to be bold and courageous.
- Many times we let go of our inheritance from God when the situation around us appears to be negative. We give up hanging on to God's promises in His Word.
- English word "Courage" comes from a French word "Heart"
- Listen and be led by your heart not your head.
- Medical report, job market can say negatively about your situation but you should take God at His Word. Violent takes it by force until the facts come in line with God's Word.

2) Close the door of Division
- Division of the body of Christ. A problem without a solution is deemed to be a complaint.
- Close the door of negative voices which are out to separate relationships which God blesses - it can be friendship, marriage or relationship with fellow chuch members.

3) Close the door of Distraction
- Cares of the world made the plant/tree unfruitful and chok the blessings
- Our direction will change when we are distracted. Eg, while driving, you are distracted by happenings at the right or left and you are not focusing in front...
- God's Word is full of power when you focus. Apply faith to receive.

Can you Hear the sound of Rain?

When Elijah said that to King Ahab, there was no rain but Elijah heard in his spirit the sound of abundance of rain.

Rain speaks of blessings. Believe your "rain" is coming in abundance even before seeing.

Hebrews 11:1 Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen"

Beacon of Light

The path before us can seem so dark. Cannot see what is in front. Do not know what lies ahead. Fear sets in.

Darkness can mean negative things or thoughts, sickness, emotions or beliefs which prevent us from moving forward. Even if you can identify the dark areas of your life and try by all means to remove them, they seem to creep back in. It is so hard. So, stop trying.

Hold a beacon of light in darkness and it illuminates the path one step at a time. Darkness goes away as you have that sufficient light for the next step.

John 8:12
When Jesus spoke again to the people, he said, "I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life."

If you are a child of God and follow Jesus without focusing on your "don't haves" and limitations, after some time, you realise that gradually "darkness" in your life began to disappear.

As you draw light from Jesus, let that light also shine through you.

"Matthew 5:14 You are the light of the world"

Can You See?

Learn how to exercise our faith in church today. Key scripture:

Joshua 6:1
"Now Jericho was securely shut up because of the children of Israel; none went out, and none came in. 2 And the Lord said to Joshua: "See! I have given Jericho into your hand, its king, and the mighty men of valor."

People of Jericho heard how God delivered the children of Israel out of Egypt and across the red sea. They fortified their city walls and security was so tied that none can go out or come in.

At that time, Jericho was not defeated yet but the Lord said to Joshua "See! I have given..."

Do you see? Do you see in the eyes of faith that God has given you....?

If you see, you can have it. God will give it to you. If you really can believe, you outward action will manifest/act like you already have it though it is yet to be seen in the natural.

Can you believe you can be debt free, financially free, no lack but wealthy, healthy, a person that overcomes because of who He is...?

Or do you see the negatives in life or what you do not have?

Let Us Step Higher Up

Not by Might, nor by power, But By His Spirit

The 2 power verses below seem to tell me that in the world we struggle a lot with our own human efforts knowingly or unknowingly and become stressed out, worried, overexert ourselves unnecessarily.

Although sometimes we may feel small (like young David facing Giant Goliath), insignificant or felt that we have nothing or no skills, BUT as a child of God, we have a BIG BIG God living inside of us.

Trust Him...Declare it! The enemy looks big, with knowledge and good skills (sword, spear and javelin). Though we appear to be small and have nothing, yet we come in the name of the Lord of hosts!

It is not you. Its Him in you fighting for you. Be confident today. ALL is well.

God wants us to Pray. To talk and commune with Him. Why?

Because He loves us. He wants us to seek His heart for us.

He wants to manifest Himself so strong and powerful through our prayers.

We will receive answers to our fervent prayers like never before.

We will experience breakthroughs after breakthroughs if we hold fast to our prayers...faith will arise (to a higher level) as we pray fervently.

This faith is gonna release powerful blessings of the Lord over us & love ones.

Jesus, You are my Safety

I was in Taiwan when an earthquake measuring about 7 on the Richter scale hits Taiwan on 26 Dec 2006. Devastating news were reported globally and love ones in Singapore were all so worried for me.

Meanwhile, my hubby and myself were travelling with a big tour group enjoying our holiday. We didn't even feel the slightest shake. God's hand of protection was all over us and I believe, because we (children of God) were kept safe, those around us were indirectly protected as well.

Daddy God's love is so real. When I got back to the hotel that same night and innocently turned on the TV, I realised the earthquake happened in many cities including the one we were in. Next morning, we were warned about aftershocks and asked to be prepared to feel some shaking. We didn't.

When we arrived at our next destination where the fault line lies, the locals were describing to us their experience of the quake. Throughout the whole trip in Taiwan travelling from place to place for the next 6 days, we didn't feel a slightest shake.

We seemed to be at the right place at the right time, missing the quake and aftershocks when it happened.

Who can explain this? I know, yes, I know that I know immediately when I turned on the TV that night that Jesus is my safety and Psalm 91:7 came to my mind.
"A thousand may fall at your side, And ten thousand at your right hand; But it shall not come near you. "

For friends who had prayed and interceded for me, a BIG Thank You!!

Jesus is my saftey, I am not afraid. The one in me is greater than the one in the world. He is for me, who can be against me.

So Loved, So Blessed, So Precious

I experienced early Christmas this year as I started to give out some Christmas presents last week...

Though I have less in worldly wealth this year, I experienced a bigger joy when I started to give...well, you may not believe it but is true...I was very happy & excited giving...

I learned that with a very small budget, I can still get some meaningful gifts...

When I wrote a wish for each of my close friends, God gave me a Word for each of them...For my 4 good friends, they got "Joy"; "Hope"; "Abundant"; and "Love". God's Word meant a lot to them and their hearts were touched.

Isn't this more valuable?

As for me, I also got some wonderful presents from them. I got what I had wanted to buy for myself but due to limited resources this year, I had been procastinating or thought of giving up the idea....never imagined God will cause my friends to bless me with these gifts...Very touched by their love to willingly allow God's divine love to flow through them despite the price tag.

Felt so loved...Isn't this about loving God and loving people?
(Matthew 22:37-38 Jesus said to him, "'You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.' This is the first and great commandment. 39 And the second is like it: 'You shall love your neighbor as yourself.' )

On top of that, I got words from Daddy God through these precious siblings in Christ!

I told God I was afraid....I was afraid to venture out to the unknown....I was afraid I will fail, knowing all my weaknesses and personal limited capabilities and resources. I know Jesus said in Matthew 19:26 "...with man this is impossible but with God all things are possible...."

Righteous = child of God. Those who have accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord & saviour
2 Cor 5:21 "For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him."

As you walk with Him; you will know Him; He will lead you; He will bless you; and make you such a blessing.

You can rely on His love for you. Victory already won; reject bitterness; depression; fear; just trust Him.

Don't Worry

I felt discouraged and emotionally down today....

I couldn't pick myself up this morning, not even spiritually.... I prayed and talked to God. I wanted a word from Him very badly. I didn't hear anything...

While on the computer, I heard a noise at the opened window just next to me...a bird perched on my window looking into my room!

I realised God sent the bird....to say "Don't Worry"....

Tears start flowing down my face....felt the touched of the holy spirit inside of me...

Reminded of the below verses.

Matthew 6:
25 "Therefore I say to you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink; nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food and the body more than clothing?

26 Look at the birds of the air, for they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they?

Be Thankful

When do you say thank you? When someone give you something?

Someone may buy you a material thing that cost millions. But after some time, you find yourself tired or no longer interested. You wanted something else or something new. Material thing does not satisfy for long.

I remember the scene in the movie, Passion of Christ. Jesus gave His life for you and me, so that all the bad deserved of us are all taken away, placed on Him at the cross... the divine exchange took place.....we are given all the good from Him. Tears rolled down my cheeks....

Jesus gave His life for you and me! He gave everything just because He loves us!

How precious we are to Him. How valuable. He loves us so very much. Be thankful for what He has done for you and me.

Even if you think you have nothing in this world, if you have accepted Jesus's love for you, you have everything! Give thanks! Oh.....how thankful.....

He Watches Over Me

Today, I pray and ask God to direct my path. I asked that He pave the way for me so it will be easy to walk on. I cannot see my future but I want to totally trust Him since He knows what is best for me.

Then I came across this verse in the Bible.....

"Psalm 32:8 I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will guide you with my eye."

I realised I have a Daddy God who really cares for me so very much.
1) "Instruct" : He promised He will advice me the way I should go...

But what if I don't know how to get there?

2) "Teach" : He also promised He will teach me how...

Then, what if something happen along the way that I don't know what to do?

3) "Guide" : He even promised that He will guide me with His eye ie, watch over me.

So, what can go wrong if He is there all the time? Even if there is a storm along the way, He will handle it!

Speak the WORD! Take Authority!

Know that you are under attack by the evil one who is stealing your joy. He cannot wait to kill & destroy you.

Jesus said "John 10:10 The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly. "

Know your position as a child of God, your identity in Christ. You have spiritual authority!

Sharing one of the powerful spiritual weapons - SWord of the Spirit.

"Ephesians 6:17
And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God; ..."

In Greek, the "sword of the spirit" here refers to Rhema word of God.
Rhema word of God means Spoken Word = S-Word = SWORD

Even Jesus uses this against Satan as per Matthew 4:
+ "It is written, 'Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.'"
+ "It is written again, 'You shall not tempt the Lord your God.'"
+"For it is written, 'You shall worship the Lord your God, and Him only you shall serve.'"

"Revelations 1:16
He had in His right hand seven stars, out of His mouth went a sharp two-edged sword, and His countenance was like the sun shining in its strength. "

In Greek, 2-Edged SWord means 2-mouth SWord :
+When the Word leaves the mouth of God = 1 mouth = 1 edge
+When the Word leaves our mouth (child of God) = 2nd mouth = 2nd edge

I See Grace

Sharing 2 short personal testimonies of His Grace - undeserved favour :

(1) Free Trip to Bangkok
I had thought about going to Bangkok in December for a short holiday. Due to certain constraints particularly money, decided to drop the idea.

Yesterday, received a phone call from someone who is recently very blessed by God and will sponsor air ticket and accommodation for me to go Bangkok in December!!
(NB: I didn't ask for it and that person had no idea I wanted to go)

(2) Free Lunch
Went out for lunch with a group of friends today. They blessed me with a free lunch. In return for the favour, I decided to buy coffee.

Without knowing how much, I unconsciously took out $5 and waited for change at the cashier. Only when issued with the receipt did I realised it cost exactly $5. Not a cent more or less!

5 = Grace = undeserved favour.

Felt God is showing me His grace when I was unconscious of blessings (not expecting blessings).

Why undeserved? You may asked. Well, I didn't do anything to deserve all these. What I did was to rest in Him. Basking myself in His Word, I somehow felt joyful inside, talking to Him like a friend and somehow not only good things come my way, I noticed people's faces brightened when I allow the joy to flow through me!

What a joy! The joy of the Lord is my strength and I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me! (Philippians 4:13)

I believe more good things and events will follow soon. You can receive from God too! Remember, do not seek His hands, seek His face. Allow His love to freely flow through you.

Matthew 6:33 "But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. "

All Things Work for Our Good

Ever wonder why "bad" things happened to Christians too?

It is written in :
"Romans 8:28 We know that in ALL things God works for the good of those who love Him who have been called according to His purpose."

"We know" :
Yes, We know God is in complete control of all things and He loves us very much.

"That in ALL things":
All things include good, bad, not so pleasant. It really means ALL.

"God works":
In cooking a delicious meal, you see the cook mixing pretty ingredients, not so pleasant looking ones, or ugly ones such as the dark coloured stuff which you do not know what it is or even spices that is painful for the eyes or fingers etc.

Then, Whola! Something beautiful and very delicous is served!

God has a master plan for your life that he mixes all events including distasteful ones and blend them up for....

"For the Good":
Whatever bad that you find happened in life, do not be discouraged. No point asking why it happened. You probably won't get an answer. It is obviously not from God so don't blame Him. He was probably there to cushion the otherwise, even worse impact.

No watter what, know that our loving Daddy God will turn it into good for us ultimately. It will end up beautiful. Pretty sights are only on the outside and does not last, the beauty from inside out, moulded by the mighty hands of the Potter will make you special & glowing in His glory.

"Of those who love Him and called according to His purpose":
For the children of God and called to become more and more like His son - Jesus Christ.

Free from Condemnation gives you POWER

Do you tend to condemn yourself when you are already FREE in Christ?

Condemnation:
Feelings that you are not good enough; did not do enough; did not pray enough; fearful; unworthy; make mistakes; defeated; giving up; unhappy; guilty; etc.

Weapon Against Condemnation: Righteousness of God in Christ
It is normal to be imperfect and that's why we need a saviour - Jesus Christ.

The devil's only weapon against you are lies and deception because he has been defeated by Jesus more than 2000 years ago. Do not be fooled by the evil one. Know who you are in Christ.

Take out Your Weapon (His righteousness) and put it on your chest to guard your heart.

+ Proverbs 4:23 "Above all else, guard your heart, for it is the wellspring of life" NIV

+ Ephesians 6: 14 "Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness..."

+ Romans 5:17 "For if by the one man's offense death reigned through the one, much more those who receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness will reign in life through the One, Jesus Christ."

God does not condemn you
+ John 8:11 ... And Jesus said to her, "Neither do I condemn you; go and sin no more."

Do not allow your heart to condemn yourself.
+ Even if it does, God is greater and we can go to Jesus to receive from Him

"1 John 3:20-22 For if our heart condemns us, God is greater than our heart, and knows all things. Beloved, if our heart does not condemn us, we have confidence toward God. And whatever we ask we receive from Him...."

Break Free from Condemnation!
+ Wake Up and know who you are in Christ
+ Jesus has paid the price with His blood, you are redeemed
+ When God looks at you, He sees Jesus. His righteousness NOT yours.

We are like superman & condemnation is like Kryptonite - ie, the only thing that can weaken superman to make him powerless.

Stop beating yourself with condemnation and start declaring and convincing yourself who you are in Christ.

YOU ARE THE RIGHTEOUSNESS OF GOD IN CHRIST!

Com'on declare it with me!

There is nothing wrong with you. Jesus has already finished the work. Rest in His finished work & all you have to do is to REJOICE in Him.

Renew Your Strength

Let's learn to wait on the Lord to renew your strength.

Isaiah 40:31"But those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint.

In the Bible, Joseph waited & saw his breakthrough (Genesis 37-41)
When Potiphar's wife lied about him and he was thrown in prison he continue to trust God. When Pharaoh's butler forgot about him, he never stop trusting God. Joseph became 2nd to Pharaoh.

Moses waited 40 yrs before God used him to deliver the Israelites (Exodus)
Many people feel they are too young or too old to do anything significant. But God is NOT concerned about age as He is, about your availability and willingness to obey and follow Him.

David waited 15 yrs before he became King of Israel (1 Samuel 16 - 2 Samuel 5)
David was anointed king but it was 15 yrs later that he became King of Israel. During the waiting, he continued to worship and trust God despite King Saul was all out to kill him and circumstances looks very bad for him.

Learn from Eagle
When a storm is coming, animal instincts send all animals running for cover. The eagle, however, sits upon his perch and wait for the storm.

When it comes, instead of flying for cover, it flies into the storm. Although he is tossed and buffeted, jerked and jolted, he keeps flying into the storm until the heavy winds lift him higher than the clouds, and he soars above the storm ("storms" of life). Imagine how beautiful it is.

During time of waiting, even when it is not easy, we should continue to trust God for He is faithful. He will protect you and be with you even when you cannot see or feel it. His joy is your strength (Nehemiah 8 :10) and you can do all things through Christ who strengthens you. (Philip4:13).

Hang in there, when things seemed worst, its when breakthrough is just round the corner.

Let's walk by faith and not by sight! You will renew your strength to soar like an eagle.

Waiting for A Breakthrough

Ever wonder why your breakthrough takes so long? Or is it coming at all? Honestly, I have.

Waiting is painful, isn't it? Well.....

don't just sit and wait, but build an intimate relationship with Jesus during this time - talk to Him in prayer and read His Word. You will experience His joy and peace inside of you that you cannot explain or comprehend.

The waiting and binding together with Jesus, will make all things beautiful in His time. The waiting becomes easy and burden lightened.

Matthew 11: 28-30
Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light."

Let's hold on to the Word of Truth (the bible) and believe, it will come to pass!!

What Do You Want in Life?

Chasing after riches, chasing after position & status, chasing after someone to love you?

Finding that the more you chase, the more these things/person run further away?

Let's focus on just one thing in Life and all these things will chase after you!! Yes, its so easy.

Psalm 23 says:
v. 1 The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.

RELATIONSHIP: Know Jesus as your shepherd, you have everything!

v.2 He makes me to lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside still waters.

1st thing to experience the Lord as your shepherd is:

REST: "Lie down". Jesus has given and done everything for you. Rest in His finished work. Rest in His love for you.

FRESH REVELATION: You need to eat everyday to feed your body. In the same way, you need to "feed" your soul with His Word (bible or sermons) to receive fresh revelations ("green pastures") everyday.

PEACE : Then, experience His peace ("still waters") inside of you even when the outside circumstances say otherwise.

John 14:27Jesus says "Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, nether let it be afraid."

Philippians 4:7 "and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. "

v.3 He restores my soul; He leads me in the paths of righteousness For His name's sake.

RESTORES : He restores your entire being ("soul"). Every area of your life.

HOPE : When you follow Jesus, Your righteousness, you cannot help it but have hope in the Lord.

Zechariah 9:12 Return to the stronghold (safety), You prisoners of hope. Even today I declare That I will restore double to you.

v.4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; For You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.

In the 1st 3 verses, Jesus leads, He guides, He restores. Then, suddenly, I walk...

YOU ARE WITH ME: Sometimes, we, sheep choose to walk away from the path. Despite the mistakes we make & ended up falling into darkest moments of our lives "valley of the shadow of death", He promised to be with us. We will not fear.

Romans 8:31 "...If God is for us, who can be against us?"

PROTECTION : His rod & staff ("used to protect sheep") speaks of protection to us. He comforts us.

People condemn us when we did something wrong. We feel guilty and become paralyzed in the situation and cannot move on. When we have Jesus, we have His righteousness. So,
Romans 8:1 :There is therefore NOW NO condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh but according to the Spirit"

v.5 You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; You anoint my head with oil; My cup runs over.

CELEBRATE LIFE: Even in the land of promise, there are going to be "Giants" = trouble. With Jesus as our shepherd, we can still eat and celebrate life in the presence of our enemies (enemies = your situation or problems surrounding your life).

HONOR: "Anoint my head with oil" People in the world will condemn you, put you down, despise you, betray you BUT your loving God will HONOR you.

ABUNDANCE : "My cup runs over" blessings are in abundance and overflowing for you.

v.6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me All the days of my life; And I will dwell in the house of the Lord FOREVER.

Finally, where then can you find your blessings? It is behind you...chasing after you....IF you follow your good Shepherd who is leading in front of you....

SURELY : No doubt about it. Definitely.

GOODNESS AND MERCY : Blessings.

FOLLOW: Focus on Jesus as your good Shepherd NOT in material things in the world that does not satisfy. Develop a personal relatioship with Him. Talk to Him in your prayers, read the Word, listen to sermons to understand Him more and how very much He loves You. Learn the inheritance you already have as a child of God. REST in Him - in His love.

As He guides and leads you, follow, you will soon find blessings chasing after you when you are not even expecting them. AMEN?

Let Us CrossOver to The Other Side

Celebrate Life? When? Now!

Many of us delay celebration. What's the occassion you asked. What's there to celebrate?

Many times we focus on the negatives in our lives, in our circumstances, in our needs & wants not met, or we may be feeling depressed emotionally as we felt we give so much but not receiving or no one loves us.

HEY! We forgot we are alive! We are loved by the most High God. Celebrate Life NOW!

Jesus is the reason to celebrate. You accept Him and you are a child of God, He died for you so you have eternal life, He was forsaken on the cross so you will NEVER be forsaken, He was wounded, pierced and bruised so that you will be healthy and have wholeness in your body, He shed His blood to wash ALL your sins (past, present and future) white as snow, so clean that the holy spirit can live inside of you, He conquered the power of darkness so you will live in the light, He loves you so much that He gave His all for you.

Will you accept Him and start celebrating life now?
